What is religion? Many people might not know what religion is and many might have their own opinion on it. The proper definition religion is the belief in a worship of a superhuman power. In my anthropology class we are trying to figure out what religion means to us because everyone has their own view on religion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSgUo-AbVxg&themeRefresh=1 In the first three minutes of this video Michael spends some time with a group of people and he participates in dances that are ritual like but at the end he asks them why they dance. They answered and said because of Hamamasim which means to make happy. It then makes you think most religions don’t just focus on belief. Most anthropologists think religion in not just what you think or what you believe. Wade Davis another anthropologist goes on a journey with Elder Brothers, and a group of Sierra Nevada Indians whose spiritual practice holds the world in balance. https://www.ted.com/talks/wade_davis_the_worldwide_web_of_belief_and_ritual?language=en Wade observes that both groups say they try to become god but us regular people go to church to talk about god. Most people might look at the mountain as being a good place to mind but a young kid from the andes who is raised to believe that the mountain is an Apu spirit that will direct his or her destiny. At the end everyone has their own opinion on religion and it can be looked at so many different ways or celebrated.

Entry#1: Learn About Blogs With Me
I have read three blogs that caught my attention. The topics are about a woman becoming a minimalist, if delivering news in a humor way grabs the attention of an audience, and EVs powered by oil. The first blog about the woman becoming a minimalist stood out to me because I used to be that person that used to hold on to everything that was related to a core memory of mine. I also like that it included so much information and pictures to show. It also showed how the woman noticed that she had an issue and showed the process of her resolving it. I appreciate that they were able to include that information for people that might be going through those things so that they can flow those exact steps. The second blog also stood out to me, because I always like to make people laugh, and I do believe that people retain information when humor is involved. It also included research that the university of Pennsylvania and the school of communications at Ohio State University were able to discover on how people retain information that included humor. Here is the link if you would like to read what they were able to discover. https://www.pickeringpost.com/does-the-delivery-of-news-in-humour-grab-the-attention-of-the-audience/ The blog that I liked the topic about but didn’t catch my attention was to be the one about EVs because it was a very short blog that did not give a lot of information. All it included in the blog was pictures of generators and how they are powered by diesel and left a lot of detail out. It would have been a good blog if that information was not missing and listed research information. I know for the future I will try to include as much information that I am able to include.
