Entry #5: Deer Mayhem

 Accidents happen all the time without warning and at the most inconvenient time. After watching the short ad from Allstate, the context of the ad explains if a person is covered with Allstate insurance they will save more while trying to fix the item that was damaged by a deer running in front of the car. The ad's author explains how it can be dangerous to drive at night in the woods where deer are known to cross the road. The ad shows a good example of the outcome if you are not paying attention for just a split moment. The audience the author is trying to reach is Americans who either go hunting or live near the woods. Anyone who feels that they are the targeted audience should be more aware of their surroundings and make sure they have insurance that will protect them if mayhem occurs. Allstate ads are funny and catch the audience's attention because the narrator acts as the mayhem. The way the author of the ad made a very stressful situation funny. That caught the viewer's attention because why not make a stressful situation into a funny situation instead. 

Entry #4 La Familia Sagrada

Your local time is 9 hours ahead from departure location said the flight attendant threw the intercom. We just landed in Barcelona, Spain and I couldn’t be more excited to get up after a 13-hour flight my legs felt swollen. I can finally start to see what row was leaving the plane, so I start standing up and prepared my things to start leaving the plane. I get off the plane and I start following all the signs that say baggage claim. We grab our luggage's and start making our way outside. Once we start getting closer to the exit, we can start to feel how hot it is outside. We stepped outside and once the door opens it felt like we opened the door to a sauna. Then we see this big line and at the front of the line it said taxi. The line seemed to be moving quickly so we decided to wait. It's our turn to get into the taxi and we hurry to get in because there is a line full of taxis trying to take people to their destination. We start making our way into the city and all I can see is mountains. Once we start getting closer to our Airbnb you start to see all the locals walking around shopping at the little markets and walking their dogs. The popular dog I saw looked like a greyhounds, and I googled it the breed is called Galgo Espanol it is easily confused with the greyhound. Once we were a block away, I noticed the beautiful architecture. We finally arrive and now we have to climb 5 flights of stairs with our luggage. We were not starting this trip off good because it was hot very tiny and not a single building had a/c unlike Arizona. After we settled in, we decided to just grab something to eat and call it a night so that the following day we could have energy to explore Barcelona. The following day comes, and we start walking up these hills and let me tell you these hills were steep, but we finally made it to the top and the view was amazing. You were able to see La Familia Sagrada church in the distance it felt so magical. We walked down these stairs that led us to the main road, and we were able to find a tour bus that took us to all the famous places in Barcelona. We were on the bus for 5 minutes when we realized that it took us to La Familia Sagrada church. We were so excited but before we got there, we had more stops on the way. We saw more amazing building and the beach. Finally, we got to the La Familia Sagrada church it looks bigger in person then it does in pictures. I was stunned to see how much detail the church has. In that moment I felt like I was in a dream because of how tall it is. I felt so grateful that I was able to travel and see the church in person. It is a beautiful place and I recommend anyone to go if they have the chance. 

 

Entry #3 Why Is It Spicy

 I open the plastic and instantly my hairs stick up as I get hit with a freshness sent. I stare at this white circle with a whole in the middle wondering why it's not the color as the plant that gives it this fresh sent. I then slowly pop it in my mouth, and it instantly feels so fresh like I just bit into an ice cube. If I take a deep breath, it will make my mouth water more because it is spicy. It makes all my tastebuds get to work. It reminds me of the scene in ratatouille. It felt as if fireworks were going off in my mouth. It slowly disintegrates in my mouth it almost feels like sand, but the spicy fresh taste is still strong. Once I get to that point, I will start chewing it. After it's all gone the tangy feeling is still left in my mouth when I take a sip of my water it makes me feel like I was in the cold water that Rose and Jack were in. It took my breath away. I like to eat these when I go on road trips in order to keep me up because they are a little spicy. What makes your tastebuds get to work?
